A taste of Lake Macquarie
Discover the unique flavours of Lake Mac Honey. Our range captures the essence of the local flora, offering a honey experience unlike any other. Each jar tells a story of the seasons and the bees that forage in our backyard.

Seasonal harvests
Every jar of Lake Mac Honey is unique because the bees forage on whatever is blooming around Warners Bay and Lake Macquarie at the time. That means the flavour and colour naturally shift with the seasons:
πΏ Summer Harvest – Richer and slightly bolder, thanks to the gums and natives flowering in the warmer months. Great for teas and marinades.
π Autumn Harvest – A darker, more full-bodied honey with earthy notes, often from late-blooming natives. Perfect for baking or adding depth to recipes.
πΈ Spring Harvest – Light and floral, often with hints of bottlebrush and grevillea nectar. Smooth in texture, perfect for drizzling over toast or yoghurt.
βοΈ Winter Harvest – Rare and small-batch, with a bold, resinous flavour. A reflection of the hardy natives that flower through the cooler months. Best enjoyed in warm drinks or as a natural winter tonic.
Because it’s raw and unprocessed, the texture stays thick and silky, with all the natural pollen and enzymes still inside. No two batches are exactly the same—each jar is a true reflection of what the bees were visiting around the lake at that time.

Versatile uses
One of the best things about raw, backyard honey is how many different ways people enjoy it:
π― Everyday Sweetener β Many use it instead of sugar in tea, coffee, or smoothies. Itβs a natural way to sweeten without anything artificial.
π₯ Cooking & Baking β From drizzling over pancakes and toast to glazing roast veggies or meat, our honey adds flavour and richness to everyday meals.
πΈ Seasonal Allergies β Because the bees forage on local flowers in Warners Bay and Lake Macquarie, some people find our honey helps with hayfever and seasonal allergies (though everyoneβs experience is different).
πͺ Natural Wellness β A spoonful of raw honey is often used to soothe sore throats, boost energy before exercise, or even mixed into warm lemon water as a natural tonic.
π Special Treat β Many locals simply enjoy it straight from the spoon, or gift a jar to family and friends as a little taste of Lake Mac.

"The quality and purity from hive to jar is outstanding"
We keep the hives right in our backyard at Warners Bay, so we can monitor the bees closely and make sure they’re healthy and thriving. We only harvest honey when the frames are fully capped, meaning it’s naturally ready and at its peak quality.
Using the Flow Hive system, the honey flows straight from the comb into the jar without any heating, filtering, or processing. This keeps all the natural enzymes, pollens, and nutrients intact—nothing is added, nothing is taken away.
Because we produce in small batches, every jar is traceable back to my backyard hive, ensuring you get 100% raw, unprocessed, local honey every time.
